Sewing & Technical Finishes

    Matte-look finishing fabric (Recto) - Multi-layer technical lining - Matte-look finishing fabric (Verso).

    Identical aesthetic appearanceon both sides (ideal for room dividers, doors or center curtains).
  • Acoustic optimization (open bottom):

    The bottom of the curtain is deliberately open to create decompression air gaps between the inner layers.
    This confection technique promotes sound absorption and thermal insulation at the heart of the curtain.
  • Choice of head:

    - Eyelets : Brass crimped rings (diameter 40 mm).

    - Ruflette: Gathered braid for rail installation (Recommended solution for maximum acoustic tightness).
  • Details: Reinforced side and bottom hems for a heavy, high-quality fit.

📏 Size guide & Measurements

⚠ Important : Tolerances and margins

Technical and acoustic fabrics always have a natural tolerance of around ±2% on the finished width (due to fiber weight and tension).

👉 It is essential to allow for an extra width margin of around 5% when ordering.

Ordering a curtain "at the bare minimum" opening can result in a lack of coverage and reduce sound efficiency.

1. Width of rod or rail


For optimum insulation, the curtain should extend well beyond the opening.

The rod or track should extend 15 to 20 cm beyond the window or door on both sides and at the top.

2. Eyelet curtain width (on rod)


For a harmonious pleated effect, allow for a curtain width (finished width to be ordered) equivalent to 1.5 to 2 times the length of the rod.

  • Calculation example :
  • For a 72.5 cm to 95 cm rod: Order 1 curtain 145 cm wide.
  • For a 145 cm to 190 cm rod: Order 2 curtains of 145 cm (or a large custom-made curtain of 290 cm).

3. Width of curtains with braids (track-mounted)


Acoustic tip: To improve performance, we recommend laying the curtain without pleats (flat).
However, the curtain can be pleated up to 40% by adjusting the cords of the gathering tape.

  • Example of a cover:
  • A 145 cm wide curtain covers a track from 85 cm (highly gathered) to 145 cm (flat).
  • For a track from 175 cm to 290 cm: 2 curtains of 145 cm (or the equivalent made-to-measure).

4. Curtain height

  • Positioning: Fix the rod or rail about 15-20 cm above the window or door.
  • Ideal length: Add 3 to 5 cm to the measured length for optimum fall and to limit the passage of air to the ground.

By following these recommendations, your curtains will adapt perfectly to your openings, combining aesthetics and acoustic functionality.
