Sewing & Technical Finishes

    The bottom of the curtain is deliberately open to create decompression air gaps between the inner layers.
    This confection technique promotes sound absorption and thermal insulation at the heart of the curtain.

    – Gathering tape Gathering tape for installation on Track Recommended solution for maximum acoustic sealing).

📏 Size guide & Measurements

⚠ Important : Tolerances and margins

Technical and acoustic fabrics always have a natural tolerance of around ±2% on the finished width (due to fiber weight and tension).

👉 It is essential to allow for an extra width margin of around 5% when ordering.

Ordering a curtain "at the bare minimum" opening can result in a lack of coverage and reduce sound efficiency.

1. Width of the Curtain pole Track


For optimal insulation, the curtain must extend well beyond the opening.

The Curtain pole Track extend 15 to 20 cm beyond each side and above the window or door.

2. Width of eyelet curtains (on Curtain pole)


For a harmonious pleated effect, allow for a curtain width (finished width to be ordered) equivalent to 1.5 to 2 times the length of the Curtain pole.

  • Calculation example :
  • For a Curtain pole 72.5 cm to 95 cm: Order one curtain measuring 145 cm wide.
  • For a Curtain pole 145 cm to 190 cm: Order two 145 cm curtains (or one large 290 cm custom-made curtain).

3. Width of curtains with gathering tape (on Track)


Acoustic tip: To improve performance, we recommend laying the curtain without pleats (flat).
However, the curtain can be pleated up to 40% by adjusting the cords of the gathering tape.

  • Example of a cover:
  • A 145 cm wide curtain covers a Track 85 cm (very gathered) to 145 cm (flat).
  • For a Track 175 cm to 290 cm: Allow for two 145 cm curtains (or the equivalent in custom-made curtains).

4. Curtain height

  • Positioning: Attach the Curtain pole Track 15 to 20 cm above the window or door.
  • Ideal length: Add 3 to 5 cm to the measured length for optimum fall and to limit the passage of air to the ground.
