To choose the ideal size for your curtains, follow this simplified guide:

Width of the rod or rail:

  • The rod or rail should extend 15 to 20 cm on each side and at the height of the window or door for optimal coverage.

Width of eyelet curtains (on rod):

  • For a harmonious pleated effect, plan for a curtain width equivalent to 1.5 to 2 times the length of the rod.

Examples:

  • A 145cm wide eyelet curtain covers a 72.5cm to 95cm rod.
  • For a rod of 72.5 cm to 95 cm, allow for one curtain of 145 cm.
  • For a rod of 145 cm to 190 cm, plan for 2 curtains of 145 cm.

Width of curtains with gathering tape (on rail):

  • To improve performance, we recommend hanging without pleats. However, the curtain can be pleated up to 40% by adjusting the drawstrings on the ruffled ribbon.

Examples:

  • A 145cm wide pleated curtain covers a rail from 85cm to 145cm.
  • For a rail of 85 cm to 145 cm, allow for 1 curtain of 145 cm.
  • For a rail of 175 cm to 290 cm, plan for 2 curtains of 145 cm.

Curtain height:

  • Positioning the rod or rail: Attach the rod or rail approximately 15 to 20 cm above the window or door.
  • Curtain length: Add 3 to 5 cm to the measured length for optimal drape.

By following these recommendations, your curtains will fit perfectly to your openings, combining aesthetics and functionality.
